BIG ME! A day to think about the future and help children around the world. UNCRC Article 29 You have the right to education which tries to develop your personality and abilities as much as possible.
On Friday 14th October we joined schools across the UK and took part in Big Me for the charity ActionAid.
Big Me was a day for children to come to school dressed as what they want to be when they grow up. For part of the day, they explored their hopes and dreams, writing a letter or postcard to their future selves and learning about children in other countries. All while raising money to help children in the world’s poorest places where their rights may not be met – they may not have clean water, healthy food or free education.
Our school raised just over £272 for Action Aid - amazing! This money will really make a difference, thank you to everyone who brought in a donation.
